B Plan-M Plan (Five Year Integrated)

The 5-years Integrated B Plan-M Plan programme comprises of ten semesters. This programme encourages convergence of disciplines like sociology, economics, environment, law, architecture, engineering and many others. The course structure is a blend of various components. The planning studios range from small neighbourhoods to Metropolitan Region. There are courses to develop a strong theoretical foundation, courses catering to technical learning, research-oriented courses, skill development courses and supplementary courses which will ensure the overall development of the student. The last two years of the programme envisages the students to opt for design studio on their chosen specialization like Urban and Regional Planning, Housing & Real Estate, Transport Planning, Infrastructure Planning, Environment and Climate change etc. The programme also gives field exposure to students through Summer-Winter schools and Related study programme organized nationally and internationally. The academic journey with every passing year ensures that the students get better at responding to planning issues in a critical and reflective manner. Lectures and seminars by professionals and academicians are an integral part of the programme to encourage inclusive learning.

Open House – Integrated BPlan – MPlan (30 August 2020 | 11:00 AM – 01:00 PM)

  • This unique 5-year integration of B Plan and M Plan comes with an advantage to a student by saving one year.
  • The programme follows Studio based learning
  • The programme offers choice of specialisation in the last two years in the chosen fields like Urban Planning, Housing & Real Estate, Transport Planning, Infrastructure Planning, Environment and Climate change etc.
  • The programme offers field exposure to students by including in curriculum a Summer and a Winter school where students do studio on site.
  • A National and International Related study programmes intended to document different places is also organised to make inclusive knowledge building a part of pedagogy
  • Six months office training during the programme enriches the academic journey of the student and prepares him/her for the professional world.
  • Multidisciplinary lectures and seminars by professionals and academicians are regularly organised to bring in knowledge from beyond the boundaries of the campus.
