Students of the Institute of Architecture and Planning, of semester IV were part of the Related Study Program at Khadia-1 area of Ahmedabad City. This was a collaborative project with Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation to list the existing condition of the identified buildings of Grade-3 in Khadia-1. The exercise also involved preparing measured drawing of the identified building and consisted of tentatively 4-5 students in a group. The outcome of the measured drawing was to help them to understand the building elements of the traditional housing typology of Ahmedabad situated in the heritage core of the walled city. It also helped them to understand the construction techniques, spatial planning, measurement matrix, and material understanding of traditional buildings. Students mapped 12 buildings in Khadia-1 in Ghasiram ni Pol, Desai ni Pol and Jethabhai ni Pol
