Five faculty members from the Institute of Architecture and Planning Prof. Utpal Sharma, Dr. Swati Kothary, Dr. Vibha Gajjar, Ar Purvi Jadav and Ar Sneha Ramani attended the INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON URBAN LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE-2023 “URBAN NATURE BASED SOLUTION” held at Mongolian University of Life Sciences, Ulaanbaatar Mongolia from Oct 9 -11, 2023 as part of the ERASMUS+ URGENT Project funded by the European Union. Prof. Utpal Sharma presented on
“Carrying capacity based master plan of Shimla-the queen of hill towns in India” and Dr. Vibha Gajjar presented on “Inclusion of Green Cover in Land Management- A case of Town Planning Scheme in Ahmedabad”. Students of Institute of Architecture and Planning participated in an international exhibition and competition on Spatial Solutions for Nature Based Landscape Architecture and Planning. An MoU between Institute of Architecture and Planning, Nirma University and Mongolian University of Life Sciences was also signed to continue the collaboration and academic exchange between faculty members and students beyond the project duration.
