IAPNU welcomed the first-semester students of B.Arch. and planned an Orientation week to expose students to the courses, curriculum, hands-on workshops, and guest lectures that help them gauge the pedagogy of Architectural education. Prof. Purvi Jadav and Prof. Pooja Raval coordinated the orientation week. Each day, a series of lectures and workshops helped the students understand the use of material and details about the form and explore their individual identities through the artwork and sculptures they produced. The above image shows the lectures and workshops on various topics like Origami, Fun with Colors, Clay workshops, Murals, and Model-doing workshops. These workshops helped students to start thinking about their potential and think beyond the academic understanding of this course. It also helped them to visualize the creative discourse of architecture. A mix of IAPNU faculty and workshop experts took each workshop. Each workshop was for 120 students and conducted in C block at various venues where students simultaneously explored the campus and the need for the workshop. The program was conducted from Aug 29 to Sep 10, 2024.
