Prof.Vinay Shah is a Design Chair at the Institute of Architecture and Planning,Nirma University.He is a renowned academician and a practicing architect with an experience of over 30 years.In the IAPNU he is involved in development of the curriculum and also guide students in studios and thesis work.He holds two Master's degree from MIT,Cambridge,one in Architecture and other in City Planning.He did his Diploma in Architecture from CEPT,Ahmedabad.His empirical approach towards teaching is acclaimed by students as it comes from his vast practical experience.He has taught in many renowned institutes like CEPT from 1984 to 2014 and APIED,Vidhyanagar from 1984 to 1996.He has been practising in the field of architecture since 1984 and has done several Goverment and Corporate level projects.
