Overview

Instruction, innovation and involvement with the community are the three vital things for any university. The Nirma University is highly engaged in extension activities through its students to build the neighbouring communities and foster the psychosocial development of students.

The extension activities are of three categories. The first category is integrated into the curriculum and includes activities like an internship with the NGOs. The second category consists of structured long-term engagement with communities through the various national social schemes, where the students spend around two weeks in surrounding localities serving the community. The third category comprises student-run short-duration activities like visiting Old Age homes, organising blood donation camps, teaching the underprivileged people, etc.

The University is thus committed to carving out a generation that would actively involve themselves in social activities.
