Nirma University established the Directorate of Research and Innovation (DRI) to promote research and innovation activities amongst the faculty and students. It works in consultation with a National Advisory Committee and a University Core Committee. The implementation of research policy, stimulation of innovation and strengthening of doctoral research are the key goals of the DRI. It also facilitates doctoral research of various faculty of the Institute. A lot of research works are running under the roof of the institute funded by various authorities. Research culture is inculcated at undergraduate level through research theses by promoting and encouraging research works.
