Faculty Development Programme

Respected Sir / Ma’am,

Greetings!

Institute of Architecture and Planning (IAPNU) is organizing a 2 week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Applications of technologies in the field of spatial analysis” from Monday, 1st July 2024 to Friday, 12th July 2024 (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m).

We invite faculty members, participants from industry / research organizations, research scholars from your esteemed institution to participate in our program. This program will offer  knowledge and prepare architects to identify and analyze architectural problems, introduce technology to support their design and development, and improve aesthetics as well as efficiency.

Recognizing the significance of this training and its potential to empower faculty, research scholars, and students, we kindly request that you nominate suitable candidates or disseminate this information within your institution to encourage participation.

Week 1: The week 1 covers Geographical Information System (GIS) software and provides hands-on application of aspects like remote sensing, thematic mapping, spatial analysis, network analysis and multi-criteria analysis.

Week 2: The week 2 covers usage of various instruments like 3D scanning machine, DGPS and total station, various types of drones, etc.

Program Highlights:

  • Refer to some of the current technological trends in their future projects.
  • Plan and implement their explorative design and stay updated with its progress.
  • Analyze and understand the surrounding area in context to their design.
  • Learn how to present their projects to the public
