Experts from IMS BAUHAUS® Archineer® Institutes e.V., an independent international industry platform, visited Institute of Architecture and Planning at Nirma University on the Sep 24-25, 2026 to discuss international collaborative opportunities in advancing innovation in membrane and lightweight construction. The Institute Director Dr. Prof. Chandran Rekha Jetty welcomed and felicitated Director M.Eng. Archineer® Sarah von der Weth, Ar. Gregor Gurnwald and Christian von der Weth.
Both the institutes jointly agreed to organize collaborative workshops, seminars and design modules along with possible Summer-Winter School program in the future. It would help to join a global network of like-minded professionals to foster wider exchange and high-tech learning opportunities and cutting-edge knowledge in membrane structures and lightweight construction that includes textile architecture, tension and cushion structures, shells, cable systems, and architectural fabrics. The collaboration would also enable access to advancing sustainable and high-performance architecture. The visit was coordinated by Prof. Jaydeep Bhagat and facilitated by IAPNU alumnus Ar. Devanshi Modi and Ar. Ketan Solanki.
