KALP 2022

Every year, the Institute of Architecture and Planning conducts this 3-day festival where students get to display their work and esteemed guests from the field of Architecture and Planning are invited to grace the events. Furthermore, talks and discussions, which are an integral part of KALP, bring in exchange of knowledge and much learning for the young hearts who aspire to do wonders in Architecture and Planning.

Day : 1

The first day of Kalp’22 kick started with the inauguration of the exhibition that displayed the work that students had produced throughout the year. The guests and students then proceeded to the auditorium to officially welcome Kalp by lighting the lamp followed by the Saraswati Vandana performed by students. A welcome address was delivered by Professor Utpal Sharma, Director of Institute of Architecture and Planning, Nirma University which was followed by lectures of the esteemed guests Professor Jitendra Singh and Ms. Nafeesa Barot.

Day : 2

The second day of KALP started with an in-house quiz competition which was followed by guest lectures from Ar. Jwalant Mahadevwala, founder of And Black Studio and Prof. Nirav Hirpara former director VDA. Various workshops were conducted like Knife art, Tie & Dye where the students could learn and display their creativity. The annual Talent Hunt competition saw amazing performances from the students of IAPNU and other institutes of Nirma University. The day ended with KAVITRA, an open mic event where students got an opportunity to show their creative front.

Day : 3

The last day of KALP started with a fun event of Treasure Hunt infusing energy and enthusiasm in the students. A Panel Discussion on Architectural Education followed this. The panel discussion was enriched by the thoughts expressed by the esteemed guests, including Prof.Habeeb Khan,Prof Jitendra Singh and Prof. Amogh Kumar Gupta and Prof.Rajesh Mehta.The award distribution ceremony followed the event.The.day was capped with the event of Cultural Night where students danced, sang, did a theatrical performance and bid adieu to KALP.
