The Institute of Architecture and Planning, Nirma University, successfully organized the Intra-Institute Sports Events from February 21 to 26, 2026, culminating in the grand Sports Day 2026 on February 26, 2026. The week-long sporting initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff, reflecting a strong culture of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. The athletic events conducted on February 26, 2026 included 100 m Race, 200 m Race, 400 m Race, 800 m Race, 1500 m Race, Shot Put, and Shot Put. The event recorded participation of more than 150 students, faculty members, and staff, demonstrating remarkable energy and competitive spirit. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Ravindra Sen, Deputy Registrar (Academic & Establishment) Nirma University , and Dr. Bhavesh Parekh, Chief Coordinator, Student Welfare Activities, Nirma University who encouraged participants and appreciated the collective efforts of the institute community. The entire program was conducted under the visionary leadership of Dr. Chandran Rekha Jetty, Director, Institute of Architecture & Planning. The event was meticulously planned and executed by the Faculty Sports Coordinator, Prof. Ar. Biswanath Mudi, ensuring effective organization and coordination. In addition to athletics, the intra-institute sports week featured cricket, football, volleyball, and basketball tournaments for both boys’ and girls’ categories. The events fostered camaraderie, strengthened faculty-student bonding, and reinforced the institute’s commitment to holistic development beyond academics.
