The World Architecture Festival is a globally recognized platform for architectural practice, education and discourse, and the above list places our Institute and Nirma University among a highly competitive group of international architecture institutions and presents a remarkable opportunity for the university and its selected students to participate in this two-stage, internationally renowned competition. The WAF 2026 Student Charrette will feature the above-selected teams from around the world, and they will participate under the guidance of their respective mentors for three days to develop and present a further proposal to an international jury for the selection of the final winner. The team from IAPNU, comprising of 5 students have been shortlisted based on the submission of “GroundWorks – Institute of Hydrology, Asarwa, Ahmedabad,ˮ a proposal responding to Ahmedabad’s groundwater depletion, rainwater catchment and existing urban water infrastructure. The Project was prepared and submitted under the guidance of lead faculty mentor Prof. Jaydeep Bhagat and co-mentor Assistant Prof. Prachi Patel.
