The Institute provides Architecture and Planning consultancy. It has Planners and Architects who has the capacity, ability, dynamism and imagination which are an integral part of this responsible profession. Though being part of a new Institute, it has performed well in terms of taking up of Architectural and Planning assignments.

RESIDE is a major research collaboration project between India and UK funded by the Indian Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the UK’s Engineering and Physical sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
The project is about the reduction in energy demand usage in residential sector through the survey of 2000 household acrossfive cities spread geographically and representing the five climatic zones of India, Including Delhi (composite),Pune (Temperate), Mumbai (Warm & Humid),Ahmedabad (hot and dry )and Darjeeling (cold).
The Research will be collaborative work among the following Institute across India:

5) Aayojan School of Architecture and design, Pune 6) Salesian College, Darjeeling
