The Office of Executive Registrar is the link between Director General and the constituent institutes of the university. Executive Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer and is directly under the superintendence and direction of Director General. He heads the university’s general, academic, and administrative wings, such as the Establishment Section, Finance and Accounting Section, Examinations Section, and Academic Section. He is the Public Information Officer of the university.
Executive Registrar is responsible for the custody of the university’s records, common seal, funds and other such property. He acts as a Member Secretary of the Board of Governors (BoG), Academic Council and other such authorities, bodies and committees as prescribed by or under the Nirma University Act. Subject to the control of Director General, the Registrar is responsible for the academic and general administrative services. He attests and approves all documents on behalf of the university, exercises powers and performs duties assigned under the Act, Regulations or delegated by the Board of Governors.
The Office of Executive Registrar ensures order and provides an atmosphere conducive to academic activity by producing timely and accurate regulations, certifications and reports and faithfully observes the rules and regulations of the university.
If any student, staff or other stakeholder faces a problem dealing with any section, they may approach the Executive Registrar to help resolve the issue.
